2024 Holiday card

Each year, I send a hundred or so holiday cards through the mail. Each year they feature my dog Toby and my partner and I on the back. It’s been sweet to watch as we all change through the years, all getting a little older and in the case of the dog, somewhat wiser. I find the practice both tedious and meditative. Like the true mark of the end of the year. It also serves as a consistent reminder that we don’t take enough images with those we love. In this practice, I look back through the year trying to find the best photo of Sam and I to slap on the back of the card, and you run into every trip you’ve taken, sometimes the friends you’ve seen, but never enough of them. Here’s my annual reminder to take more photos with the people you love. Happy holidays.
